INITIATE
Contact a FIC staff member with a project idea.
PLAN
Before work begins, the FIC works with you to make sure the project goals are clearly defined. We discuss the scope and delivery requirements so the project manager can generate an accurate project proposal. The proposal includes a schedule and for non-direct instruction projects, an estimated cost.
EXECUTE
With your approval of the proposal, design and development work begins. An instructional designer will oversee all instructional projects to address learning issues. In many cases, you, the client, will need to supply content to the development team as development begins or during the development process. In other words, the process may need your input in order for us to progress.
ITERATIVE REVIEW AND APPROVAL
We follow an iterative process of development, review, and revision. You may be asked to review preliminary visual designs, the navigational system, or the information architecture scheme, as well as the beta version of the product as it nears completion. We may want to involve students as reviewers and we may ask you to help us select ones to participate.
DELIVER
With final approval, the product is released for delivery. Our iterative process assures that you will be satisfied with the final product. We are also available to help you evaluate and/or document a project.
