Faculty Innovation Center Studio opens FIC Studio In ETC 2.146
The College of Engineering is proud to announce the opening of the Faculty Innovation Center's new Faculty Innovation Center Studio (FICS). In order to assist Faculty in the delivery of cutting-edge instruction, and to meet increasing levels of student expectations, the College has created a unique facility designed to aid faculty in the integration of technology into teaching and the development of instructional materials. Located on the 2nd floor of the Mechanical Engineering Building (ETC 2.146), the FIC Studio is home to 16 workstations and various peripherals donated by a generous gift from Hewlett-Packard.
The Studio is for any faculty, staff or TA's interested in creating print, video, web or multimedia for use in instruction. Further, the FIC Studio is home to an 8-seat classroom where attendees may participate in workshops. These workshops will be designed to deliver fundamental understanding in emerging technologies and best practices for the classroom.
The FIC Studio puts tools at the fingertips of CoE Faculty to help them explore the challenges of instruction in the media-rich environs of the Information Age.
