UTEID Integrates with Prometheus
The College of Engineerings online education service, UTwired, is currently integrating Prometheus with the UTEID. The UTEID is an electronic identifier that will allow you to use secure services which require you to identify yourself (for example, Utejas, ROSE, time sheets, or the group ticket draw). This means users will no longer have to remember an extra login and password, and students will no longer have to create their own accounts in order to use Prometheus. Other benefits of this will be that all Prometheus usage will be encrypted for the highest possible security, classes in Prometheus will be linked off a students UT Direct home page, and students will no longer have to add themselves to a Prometheus course using a Prometheus Course ID and Course Password. These enhancements are taking place in conjunction with UT Direct, the campus-wide portal initiative. Emails will be sent to all Prometheus users describing these enhancements as they occur.
